Meet the Epic Auto Owners Behind Epic Torque
Every blog needs an introduction at some point, so here it is. Epic Torque comes to you from Epic Automotive & Driveline, and behind the name are three people who have spent more hours under the hood, at the front counter, and on the shop floor than they would probably like to admit.
Bob Harder-Chairman
Bob spent more than thirty years managing car dealerships before he decided he had learned enough to build something of his own. Somewhere along the way, an old boss gave him a piece of advice that stuck, and it shaped the way he runs Epic today: do right by people and the business takes care of itself. Bob co founded Epic with his wife Shelley, and he still walks the shop floor most days, because he would rather be near the work than away from it.
Mitch Quesnel-President
Mitch and Bob go back to their dealership days, and when Bob was ready to build something new, Mitch was the first call he made. Mitch brings the kind of technical know-how that comes from genuinely loving the work, the sort of person who gets more excited about a tricky diagnosis than most people get about a day off.
Shelley McConnell Harder- Vice-President
Shelley is Bobs wife, ( he says she’s his better half) and she keeps the whole operation running the way it should, the person in the background providing support. Ask anyone who knows her and they will tell you the same thing: Sandy makes a stressful problem feel a lot less stressful.
What ties Epic Automotive & Driveline together?
None of them set out to build a typical Saskatoon auto and repair shop, and if you have been in, you already know it does not feel like one. It is bright, it is organized, and nobody talks down to you about your vehicle. That was the plan from day one, and three people with a combined lifetime of experience in this industry are still showing up every day to make sure it stays that way.
